Today Sprout Social, a leading social media management and engagement platform, announces the appointment of Drew Stern as Vice President of Alliances and Business Development. A proven leader in social business and partnership marketing, Drew will oversee the development and expansion of strategic alliances and technology relationships.

“Our goal is to bring the best possible Sprout product to our clients and one of the ways we accomplish that is through network integrations and strong partnerships,” says Justyn Howard, CEO of Sprout Social. “Drew’s first-hand knowledge of and experience in developing relationships within the social space will help the Sprout offering mature and provide additional value for our customers.”

Drew joins Sprout from Buddy Media/SalesForce Marketing Cloud in New York, where he served as Director of Alliances and Strategy. During his tenure there, he led the business development team and the successful, game-changing acquisition of BrighterOption, now Social.com. He also nurtured and implemented several cross-functional partners launches including Twitter’s Ad Beta, Facebook SPMD and multiple LinkedIn programs.

“The social marketplace is constantly evolving and, as a frontrunner in social engagement, Sprout must continually align itself with the best partners possible,” says Stern. “I’m thrilled to join the team and excited to leverage my expertise and relationships to further position Sprout and our clients for unprecedented growth.”

Based in Chicago, Drew will manage relationships with Sprout’s integrated networks  Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn – as well as other foundational partnerships and alliances.
