Over the past 18 years, software company bswift has grown to 350 employees - and this year will officially push that number past 400. To accommodate its growing employee base, the company is adding nearly 20,000 square feet to its West Loop headquarters by taking over another floor in its current building.

The expansion comes just after bswift announced $51 million in funding early last month from Great Hill Partners. The investment is helping the company to keep pace with last year's 150 hires. They have hired over 70 already this year.

“We’re fortunate to have our headquarters in Chicago – a city where innovation is thriving in the technology, insurance and health care business sectors,” CEO Rich Gallun said in a statement. “Our location gives us a competitive advantage in hiring the best and the brightest out there, and our expansive new office space is a reflection of that.”

bswift’s speciality is cloud software and complementary services to streamline the HR, payroll and benefits process for employers. Its offerings include a Mobile Benefits Portal for employees to access their benefits information and a web-based insurance exchange platform so clients like First Niagara Benefits Consulting and Frenkel Benefits can establish their own private exchanges for employers.

“We remain confident in our continued growth and leadership in the benefits and exchange market,” Gallun said.
