Just as the football season is getting into full swing, online ticket marketplace Vivid Seats is getting in on the action with new NFL partnerships, including a partnership with the Chicago Bears. The two Chicago companies are now collaborating on VIP ticket packages and fan experiences like pre-game tailgating, field passes and top-notch seats this season.

“The Bears are a world-class organization with an incredible fan base,” Vivid Seat’s VP of Sponsorships AJ Machosky said. “One of our goals when looking for partners is working with teams that have a strong local, regional and national reach.  The benefit of having such a great brand in our backyard allowed us to continually meet and brainstorm ways we can deliver our VIP ticket packages & unique experiences for their fans.”

This deal between Vivid Seats and The Chicago Bears is a win for Chicago fans and Chicago tech. The fact that a Chicago giant like The Bears chose a local tech solution to engage its loyal fans instead of choosing platforms like Ticketmaster is proof that Chicago tech is likely the key to many corporations’ big issues. Motorola, Allstate and Walgreens are just a few big corporations that have partnered up with local tech companies recently.

Vivid Seats is also finding success with its recent Official Ticket Marketplace partnership with the Big Ten Conference: “Chicago is great hub for all of the Big Ten teams, so we are excited to provide our service to their fans in our backyard,” Machosky said. Chicago’s United Center will be hosting the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2015.

“Chicago is very fortunate to have top-notch teams and tons of great entertainment options,” Machosky said. “We've built our marketplace to deliver the safety, affordability, and high level of service that great franchises like those in Chicago want to provide for their fans. I would not be surprised if we continued to expand locally with these goals in mind. There is definitely value in building local relationships with other Chicago businesses.  It has provided us with great talking points for local companies and fans looking for tickets and beyond.”
