Cocktail Courier gets in on the alcohol delivery business in Chicago

New York-based Cocktail Courier has made it to Chicago. The delivery service curates four to six drinks designed by a bartender from a trendy bars or restaurants and provides the spirits, liqueurs, mixers and garnishes. Chicago is the second market for the startup, who plans to rollout San Francisco in the spring. Code Fellows expands to Chicago

Seattle-based digital trade school Code Fellows will open in Chicago. The intensive, eight-week Full-Stack JavaScriptDevelopment Accelerator course is designed to teach programmers with approximately two years of experience in web development how to advance their careers with some of the top tech companies in Chicago. Graduates of the Development Accelerator are guaranteed a job offer within nine months of completing the course, or Code Fellows will refund the tuition. The first Chicago-based Development Accelerator course will take place May 11 – July 3 and will be held at 1871.

Healthbox announces new program to double down on proven health care startups

$3.5M invested in Options Away to let international travelers freeze ticket prices

Options Away, a tech startup that allows travelers to hold flight ticket prices without making a purchase, has just raised a $3.5 million Series A round to add international flights and partnerships. The round was led by OCA Ventures, and included Thayer Ventures and Pritzker Group Venture Capital. Don Kingsborough joins Raise 

Don Kingsborough has joined the Raise board of directors. A lifelong entrepreneur, Kingsborough first gained national attention in the late 1970s when he served as president of consumer products at Atari and played an instrumental role in introducing the Nintendo Entertainment System in the United States. Most recently, Kingsborough worked at PayPal where he spearheaded the company’s move into physical retail locations.

bswift announced record revenue growth in terms of transaction volumes and technology updates.
