Even though this year’s Taste of Chicago has come to an end, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve gotten your fill of events for the week. For those of you who are hungry for educational, networking, and downright fun startup events, we’ve rounded up five you need to be sure you don't miss.

1. Keep Calm and Pledge On, July 13 at 5:30 p.m.

Join Pledge 1%, Built In Chicago, General Assembly and Salesforce for Startups to celebrate philanthropy with your peers and learn more about becoming a community-focused startup. There will be food and booze—all enjoyed on a summer rooftop.

2. Meet Startup Institute and Find a Startup Job You’ll Love, July 14 at 6 p.m.

Join Startup Institute Chicago and an amazing startup panel at their Chicago campus to learn how Startup Institute can land you a job you’ll be passionate about. Their immersive curriculum, career mentorship, expert instruction, and targeted skills training have helped over 800 alumni to transition into high-growth roles, and they can do the same for you. They’ll give you insight into their unique methodology and answer all your questions about coursework, partnerships, instructors, alumni engagements, success rates, and more.

3. Intentional Networking 101, July 15 at 5:45 p.m.

Attend this dynamic and powerful workshop to maximize your professional and social influence! Whether you are naturally social or afraid to start a conversation, Intentional Networking 101 is a unique workshop that will turn you into a world-class networker. You’ll connect to people everywhere you are, create deeper relationships, enjoy your interactions, and get more business!

4. DevMynd Open House, July 16 at 6 p.m.

DevMynd has had another awesome year! In celebration of their new look and new friends, DevMynd is hosting an open house. It’s their way of thanking you for your continued support—but also a great excuse to party. On July 16th from 6-9pm, please come by the DevMynd Bucktown office (2035 West Wabansia, Chicago IL, 60647) to enjoy some food and drinks on us. 5411 Empanadas will have their food truck parked outside of the office, and they’ll be serving wine, beer, and a signature DevMynd cocktail.

5. Starter Workshop: Intro to Code, July 16 at 6:15 p.m.

Come learn HTML, CSS, Github, and Sublime so that you can build that website you’ve been wanting to develop. You don't need prior programming experience to take this workshop. You just need a computer that can connect to the internet and a desire to learn how to code. You'll have the chance to grab some food, meet the instructor, teaching assistants and other workshop attendees.

Have an amazing week Chicago and make sure to check out our events calendar for all the other tech events happening around town.
