Sometimes, all a great idea needs is a little focus.

For the past four years, the team at DevMynd has had plenty of great ideas. They’ve paired their programmers up with major Chicago players from Trunk Club and Groupon to IBM in order to help design, develop, and launch projects for mobile and web.

Now, they’ve introduced two brand new initiatives to bring that work into even crisper focus. Meet DevWrx, DevMynd’s new sister company which aims to provide contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement services for all its client work.

“For most IT staffing agencies, the people vetting candidates get a lot of information off of a resume, but don’t necessarily know the ins and outs of the technical aspects of product development,” said Chase Hires, DevMynd’s new client consultant. “We have a really good handle on development technology, so we’re able to vet developers to make sure they’re a good fit with the client.”

DevWrx officially launched July 16. Hires said its pool of contracted employees holds up to DevMynd’s high standards and is ready to help realize a company’s development technology needs.

“With DevWrx, we can provide a more comprehensive spectrum of services for our customers,” he said.

Meanwhile, Devmynd has relaunched their brand and website to better align with their now concentrated focus on project development at all stages. Besides a maintained emphasis on high-quality software development, Devmynd proper can now better tend to their clients’ needs, from product strategy and design to consulting.

DevMynd currently has on-the-ground presence in both Chicago and San Francisco, with an overall team size of over twenty. Hires said the relaunch will help the company grow, but added that the overall intent is to provide better service to clients.

“With these new initiatives, we’re able to help clients more holistically at a variety of levels,” Hires said.
