With October just around the corner, fall has officially made its way back to Chicago. And with it, it’s brought a ton of awesome events for Chicago’s tech scene to commemorate the changing of the seasons. This week is stocked with awesome events for your consideration, but here are five you’d be remiss to ignore.

Real Talk, Real Solutions: A Panel on Solving Tech's Diversity Issues, September 28 at 6:30 p.m.

It’s no secret that the tech industry has long been disproportionately dominated by white young men. Minorities and women continue to be absent from the boardrooms of large tech companies and a minority in its futuristic quirky offices. While tech companies pride themselves in creating inclusive work environments, the question still remains: is tech inclusive of diversity of experiences and backgrounds? Join GA, FWD.us and a panel of trailblazers in tech. You'll learn their stories and hear what they're doing about diversity in the industry.

Technori Female Founders Showcase, September 29 at 6 p.m.

Each month, 500 impassioned entrepreneurs, developers, designers, investors, and tech enthusiasts gather to watch five companies present for exactly five minutes each, with an interactive Q&A session that involves the entire Technori audience. The results have been amazing. 44+ showcases and 19,000+ attendees. Over 200 companies have presented. They now employ over 1000 people and have raised over $176 million in funding. Many have gone onto Y Combinator, Techstars, and AngelPad. Several have exited and many more will in the coming years.

#SocialGoGo social media web series, September 30 starting at 10 a.m.

#SocialGoGo is an online social media extravaganza. On September 30th, we'll bring together the best social and digital minds from NASA, Hootsuite, Vox, GoDaddy and more to discuss the latest topics and trends, from finding new customers through Meetup to managing PR disasters on Twitter.

Built In Brews: Enova, October 1 at 5:30 p.m.

We're celebrating Fall this year with a Built In Brews at the new Enova office! Join us for an evening of brews, BBQ, and a bourbon-tasting bar as they unveil their spectacular, 160,000 square-foot space. Enova is a technology and data analytics driven online lending company. Their executives and employees will be available to chat with guests about company life, growth, hiring opportunities and more. Hope to see you there, and get your tickets here!

Comedy Hack Day, October 3 at 8 a.m.

You’re invited to participate in Comedy Hack Day, a comedy & code hackathon on October 3rd & 4th at the Cards Against Humanity office. They have lots of comedians already lined up, and they need more developers and hardware hackers. Harper Reed, Tricia Bobeda, Sonia Denis, and Kristen Toomey are judging the final show. It’s gonna be hella fun.

Have a great week Chicago and be sure to check out our events calendar for all the other tech events happening around town.
