Every week, we bring you the best events in Chicago tech. This week’s events include workshops for refining your business idea and preparing to launch a minimum viable product. There’s also a panel discussion featuring women in data analytics and a case study in building company culture with remote workers. MVP of Your MVP: A Developer's Roadmap, June 27 at noon

What are the most important things to get in place your your minimum viable product? What can wait for later iterations? How do you optimize your user experience and messaging when launching the first version of your product? Janitor, a Chicago dev shop, will discuss all of these questions and more, as they guide you through the process of getting an MVP together.

Early coding through stories and play, June 27-30 at 1 p.m.

Got any young would-be programmers in the house? This interactive coding class for kids grades one through three teaches participants to code while creating stories on their iPads. The event is hosted by Power Up Tech Academy, and iPads will be provided.

Why remote culture rocks — and how you can do it too, June 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Instructure is a company developing software that makes people smarter, and they're hosting a discussion about building company culture with a large remote workforce. Attendees at Instructure’s Chicago office can look forward to the free pizza. Obviously, there’s a video conferencing option available too.

Chicago startup ideas bootcamp, June 29 at 6 p.m.

Got a startup idea that you could use some feedback on? This three-hour intensive workshop lets you reiterate and improve on your ideas, and maybe even pick up a co-founder or two.

WiMLDS & PyLadies women in data engineering & data science panel, June 30 at 6 p.m.

Curious about life as a data engineer or a data scientist? This hour long panel discussion hosted by WiMLDS and PyLadies will cover what it’s like to be a woman in the booming field of data and analytics. The conversation will cover the day-to-day as well as how the participants got where they are today.
