I am working on my next big startup in the B2C space. I need a ROCK STAR ALGORITHM ENGINEER to help design a recommendation/learning engine algorithm, assessing inputs from various sources (e.g., data entered into profiles, third party data on other sites, Facebook profile data, Twitter data), the results of which get prioritized and fine tuned over time based on actual user activity.
This person would lead the design (and potentially development) of this critical component with a bigger website project being managed by a tech development firm here in Chicago. Person can either kickoff project, or manage it long term. Person could end up becoming CTO co-founder of this patent-pending startup with equity incentives, post funding.
Given the critical importance of this technology to the success of the business, I am envisioning someone with proven Amazon or Google-type of recommendation/search engine experience. Or a rockstar talent from one of the local universities with solid references. I figured this group would know the right people for this, preferably here in Chicago.
