We’re pretty pumped about this weekend. We had the whole team in town working as one, pushing out updates, enhancements, capabilities, and general good vibes. Our Development team did an awesome job of making Trendendo feel a lot more like what we want our users to experience come Launch. That day, coincidentally, is fast approaching.
Just a few of the things we released to our testers…
- Trending feeds are live, real-time reflections of what users are voting on — right now. When there’s a bump in votes on Best Boxer of All Time, for example, you’ll see that Card climb up your feed.
- Tutorial introduction for first time users (with some slick graphics, might I add!). It gives a quick look at how you’ll interact with the app, where to go to see live rankings, what you’ll want to do to find and follow friends, and how to build an overall better experience for yourself, as well as the Trendendo community.
- Search is now better. With live auto-complete, finding the Cards you want to vote on & People you want to follow requires nothing more than a few taps of your finger and a little bit of typing.
- Touch feedback. Now when voting “Get Back” as Best Beatles Song, you leave an imprint that highlights the button, as a quick little animation welcomes in some more Entries.
To quote Yoda, “always in motion is the future”. It’d be just downright wrong to assume that we could interpret the meaning of such prescient words from one of the all time great thinkers. But, things are rolling along quite nicely at Trendendo HQ and — soon enough — you’ll be able to see what we’ve been telling you about. The future isn’t so far away, after all.
