From Crain's blog for Chicago entrepreneurs:

(Crain's) -- The Groupon Arts Collaboration Series is a new initiative led by former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin that uses the popular daily deals site to promote unique cultural and artistic events. The program launched Oct. 1, when 10,000 people came to Wrigley Field to watch the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Next is a concert at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall Wednesday night featuring Chicago band Umphrey’s McGee. The third event, on Nov. 8 at the Chicago Artists’ Coalition in the West Loop, features several forms of art including a DJ and interpretive dance.
