Greetings from the Points of Light Civic Accelerator Team! The Civic Accelerator is coming to the "windy city" December 15 - 19 to host our graduation boot camp and Demo Night for the Fall 2014 Civic Accelerator class.
We know that Chicago is already buzzing with incredible movers, shakers, and social innovators: In fact, 10% of our portfolio is based right here in town! As part of our upcoming Demo Night on December 17, we want to honor you - Chicago - and all that you're doing to make your city and the world a better place.
We're looking for 4 outstanding local entrepreneurs to participate in our semi-annual "CivicXcite." CivicXcite is a fast pitch event that will kick-off the Fall 2014 Civic Accelerator Demo Night to shine a light on the local social enterprise community. As a CivicXcite venture, you'll share the stage with 12 other incredible social ventures from around the US as you pitch your social innovation to a room full of business and nonprofit leaders, investors, and venture philanthropists all committed to seeing your solution succeed.

The Civic Accelerator Team
The Points of Light Civic Accelerator is the first accelerator program and investment fund in the country focused on "civic ventures" -- for-profit and nonprofit startups that include people as part of the solution to critical social problems. The three month, boot camp-style program convenes 10-15 teams in person and online with the goal of equipping each startup to seek investments and scale their social innovation.
