Bright and early I had the privilege of talking with Gauri Sharma and Jonathan Pirc of Lab42. They are a market research startup tackling this space in a completely new way out of Sandbox Industries.
I really enjoyed my time there. So much in fact that my 30 minutes seemed to again slip to over almost an hour - nasty habit. We talked about the triumphs and challenges they were facing as well the vision of the company. Exicitng things.
We also floated this idea of us facilitating "B2B Testing" and this sparked a 15 minute conversation. So far, this idea is a winner!
Not too long after I was able to meet up with Eric Metelka of Full Stack Marketing. We had met via Built in Chicago! Eric was previously in New York and had been a digital marketing teacher at General Assembly. We talked both his company and vision as well as Edopter.
Eric was great in lending advice to a young entrepreneur like myself. He was able to help me think through the product and find out what I should be focusing on why again I should be "doing things that don't scale". Eric is great.
Finally, I was able to again head out to a part of Chicago I had never been before. I met up with Karl Zimmerman of Steadfast Networks. If Karl ever reads this, you rock man!
Karl and I talked through the business and the challenges they were facing. He was also very interested in what we were building both on a personal and enterprise side.
He also made sure to stress the idea of an ecosystem. As we go through Edopter and match users and startups, the local aspect is so, so crucial. People want to connect on a human level and help those in their ecosystem. With that, the ecosystem as a whole becomes better. WOW.
