Founder Institute Chicago Offers Fellowships for Female, Veteran, Latino, and Black Entrepreneurs

The Founder Institute (http://fi.co), the world’s largest entrepreneur training and startup launch program is offering fellowships for female, veteran, latino, and black entrepreneurs. Each fellowship recognizes an applicant with the utmost potential to be a successful entrepreneur and gives each of those applicants the opportunity to launch a company in the world-renowned entrepreneur training program for free.

Any female, veteran or latino who is passionate about starting a technology company can apply for a Fellowship (details below) by the Early Application Deadline on August 9, 2014, at http://fi.co/fellowships#

Female Founder Fellowship

The Female Founder Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary female applicant for each chapter, giving them the opportunity to enroll in the Founder Institute for free. The recipient will be recognized as a female with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur.  The Founder Institute is committed to narrowing the gender gap in high tech startups. When we announced the Female Founder Fellowship program in 2011, only 16% of Founder Institute companies were founded by females. Since then, the results of this program have been astounding, as our overall number of female-founded companies has increased over 70%, to a total of approximately 35%. This is more than twice as high as most other accelerators.

Vet-Tech Veteran’s Fellowship

The Vet-Tech Veteran's Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary military veteran who applies to the Chicago Founder Institute Program. The recipient will be recognized as a veteran with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur and will receive a Fellowship to participate in the Founder Institute's world-renowned program for free.  In addition, upon graduating from the Founder Institute, the Veteran will be accepted into Vet-Tech, the nation's leading startup accelerator for military veterans, headquartered in Silicon Valley.

The Latino Startup Alliance Fellowship

The Latino Startup Alliance Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary Latino who applies to the Chicago Founder Institute Program. The recipient will be recognized as a person with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur and will receive a Fellowship to participate in the Founder Institute's world-renowned program for free. The Latino Startup Alliance is the leading non-profit organization driving startup entrepreneurship in the Latino community.

Black Founders' Fellowship

The Black Founders' Fellowship is awarded to the most extraordinary African American who applies to the Chicago Founder Institute Program. The recipient will be recognized as a person with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur and will receive a Fellowship to participate in the Founder Institute's world-renowned program for free. Black Founders is an organization whose mission is to deepen the pipeline of minority tech talent and increase the number of successful black entrepreneurs in technology.
