The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is proud to be partnering with Goldman Sachs and the Chicago City Colleges on an exciting new initiative. The Goldman Sachs 10,000 small Businesses Program was created to provide education, mentorship and capital to existing businesses with high growth potential. Using curriculum developed by Babson  College, business owners are immersed in a multi week program designed to help them to develop new strategies of growth for their businesses. Goldman Sach executives will serve as advisors to each of the program participants as well as other leading entrepreneurs and business leaders.

To be eligible for the program a company must complete an application which can be found at the Chamber website at www.chicagolandchamber.org. An applicant must:

  • Be in business for a
    minimum of 3 years
  • Have at least $150K in
    revenue
  • Have at least 4
    employees

The Chicagoland Chamber's Small Business Development and Resource Center will also be hosting a panel discussion and providing additional business advisory services to program participants as well. Goldman is also committing $20MM in the form of loans and grants to help small businesses in the Chicago region. This funding is not contingent on being accepted into the 10K Small Business Program.

If anyone is interested and would like more information on the program please go to www.chicagolandchamber.org and click on the program button.

This is going to be a great but very competitive program focusing on companies with high growth potential. The application deadline is October 26, 2011.
