Hispanically Speaking News (HS-News) has won the award for the Top Content Provider for the Hispanic Audience for 2011 at Portada’s 5th Annual Hispanic Digital and Print Media Conference that was held in New York City.  The Portada awards for achievement and innovation in marketing to U.S. Hispanics are determined through a nomination and voting process that is managed and overseen by the market research company.

The digital media category is particularly meaningful because Hispanics are the fastest growing group of Internet users in the country and HS-News is poised to reach this audience in an innovative and fresh manner.

“We are honored and humbled by this recognition, especially with the fact that we have just celebrated our first year anniversary and are just getting started,” said Estelle Gonzales Walgreen, HS-News co-founder and its Editor-in-Chief.  “By continuing to deliver interesting and pertinent news 24/7 for and about Latinos, we are confident that HS News is uniquely positioned to grow its influence and market share in this space.”
