I keep encoutnering the same problem over and over again so as to avoid repeating myself numerous times I am composing this blog post as than I can point inquireres to blog post when questioned.

So you and your co-foudner have this Chicago start-up. You may be at the very beginning of the journey or you maybe already past your first funding round and you need an android developer and you would prefer that they come on as employee and stock options holder rather than as a telecommute project freelancer.

Here is your biggest obstacle as at the stage you are at the developer is doingmost of the work. We as android devloeprs do not know you or your co-founder.  I am not saying this to be smart but factually when you spend 60 to 80 hour weeks with people it has to fit on a people level.

You cannot make that happen with a 20-minute talk over a meal or one-side email exchanges. It takes several weeks over months of talking, face to face, not email and not phone calls.

That being stated can you break something down into several month projects to get to that point? You already know what I will say, right? You have to get to now the developer to find out.

And please, if you are a start-up founder do not and I mean DO NOT send email to someone after they turn you down insulting them.  It makes you look liek a unprofessional hick not to mention guranteeing that no developer will conisder you a worthwhile bet.
