The first half of the summer has been outstanding for the Spare to Share team! Our amazing crew of ten interns inspires and pumps us up daily. We have five students from DePaul, two from Indiana, and individuals from Michigan, Elmhurst College and Kendall College here in our Chicago office.
As you can imagine, there is never a dull moment! For example, the afternoon I went out on a customer call and returned to ouroffice completely rearranged. Feng shui? I’m not so sure about that, but this team is aggressive and getting things done, picking up tasks and running with them!
In addition to rearranging the furniture, our interns are leading major tasks like:
- Design, implementation and testing of web and mobile enhancements to our community management tool to better serve our customers
- Customer engagement and support within our current residentia and commercial building communities
- Market research on future markets, including creating business plans for our expansion considerations
- Defining our social media goals and marketing calendar
- Refining our revenue and costs model, and coordinating meetings for our next funding round
It’s been a whirlwind of a summer!
