MATTER Opens AMA Interaction Studio

Yesterday we opened the AMA Interaction Studio, a simulated physician office environment that facilitates collaboration between doctors and entrepreneurs. The studio features an exam room, a back-office and a waiting room, cameras, screens and teleconferencing capabilities, and state-of-the-art equipment. MATTER’s relationship with the American Medical Association also goes beyond the physical space: the partnership allows us to bring physicians to MATTER to work directly with entrepreneurs. Now, with the AMA Interaction Studio, they can collaborate in a real-world environment on building the best solutions to the most meaningful challenges.

Entrepreneurs often hear the advice: “get out of the building” – meaning get out from behind a desk and engage with potential customers to understand their needs, challenges and requirements. One of the obstacles to building a healthcare business is getting access to physicians and healthcare providers. The Interaction Studio and our ongoing partnership with the AMA bring the outside world to entrepreneurs at MATTER to accelerate the process of building businesses that solve the right problems in the right ways.

(We also have some terrific events coming up – including an interview with Jeff Aronin, one of the most successful healthcare entrepreneurs and co-chair of the MATTER board of directors. Click here for more detail and to register.)
