The most delicious client we could ever dream of was right under our nose.

We've worked our way through a few cheesecakes and couldnt be happier with our latest partnership with Eli's Cheesecake. We had been doing our best to reach out to brands to help partner on educational or childrens initiatives in order to offset the cost of our Mrs. Judd's Games app development.

We had pitched companies far and wide that target kids and apps but realized the competition was quite fierce and we were usually up against some sort of incumbant agency in the process. So we took a step back and went a different route and started to reach out to companies that didnt focus on kids but did focus on Chicago and community. As a result, we are chock full of meeting with some blue chip brands you would never thnk would want to associate with a kids app maker. Every company has a commitment of some sort to community and we discovered that part of that goal often includes partnering with a startup, particularly one that came from 1871. These outreach departments have varying budgets but they all want to learn how they can get involved and their level of enthusiam is absolutely astounding when it comes to being a part of the startup community.

Here is the latest press release:

CHICAGO, May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mrs. Judd's Games is thrilled to announce the release of its 11th educational app, Space Cakes – Kids Bakery Game with Math and Numbers, and an exciting new partnership with the world famous, and Chicago-based, Eli's Cheesecake FactorySpace Cakes takes kids across the galaxy to a far-away stellar space bakery, as it seeks to ignite their passion for 3D geometry, number play, and fun with math. The exciting partnership with Eli's marks a breakthrough in the early education app developer's model for game development. The upfront partnership enables Mrs. Judd's Games to offer top-rated educational games 100% free to families and classrooms and to focus entirely on the creation of unique, educational, and fun mobile game experiences instead of monetization strategies.

The Space Cakes bakery is filled with alien ingredients, fantastic frosting, and an array of space toppers from across the galaxy. After children create unique treats using an awareness of counting, numbers, and geometry they prepare for take-off and steer their cake delivery spaceship back to Earth and celebrate safe arrival with starburst, fireworks, and colorful confetti. Space Cakes also incorporates Mrs. Judd's Games groundbreaking Juddly™ sharing network, enabling kids to safely deliver in-game intergalactic cake creations right to the inboxes of their parents and teachers back on earth.

A longtime supporter of education, Eli's Cheesecake entrusted Mrs. Judd and her creative team of developers and artists for its first foray into the world of educational app development.

"Eli's has always had a longstanding commitment to education and we are always looking to strengthen both our association and perception with parents and teachers," said Marc Shulman , President of Eli's Cheesecake. "When looking for a way to integrate our brand into the world of education, Mrs. Judd's Games came to us with an innovative game concept and utilized their Juddly™ sharing network to let kids play and learn, while giving us a window to let mom know more about Eli's and our commitment to education."

Eli's will debut the new app at their National Restaurant Association Show Booth #1425 at Chicago's McCormick Place, May 18-21. Show attendees can use the app to build their own Space Cake and will be entered for a chance to win a real Eli's Space Cake, shipped anywhere in the continental US.
