ParkWhiz’s Earth Week CO2 pollution elimination challenge

In the U.S. alone, 17.8 billion hours are wasted looking for parking every year, generating 82 million tons of CO2 pollution.

By booking in advance and driving directly to their parking destination, we have found a single driver will reduce pollution from CO2 emissions by anywhere from 0.75 KGs to 2 KGs - depending on their location and time of parking.

For Earth Week we launched an initiative to make drivers aware of the daily impact parking can have on the planet, and to get them excited about making the Earth a greener place to park.

This week we aim to eliminate 10 tons of C02 pollution with the help of drivers nationwide.

  • Every parking pass purchased contributes to the goal

  • After each booking, drivers are immediately notified of their contribution

  • When the goal is reached, ParkWhiz will collaborate with treestothefuture.org to plant 5,000 trees in the developing world

This initiative will only run for one week, and progress can be tracked throughout on the ParkWhiz Green Impact page.
