Last night we had 300+ attendees and introduced four awesome startups at the second Built in Chicago Meetup. If you missed it, don't worry we will see you all in April!

We have lots of great photos from the event that you can check out on our Facebook page

Here's the quick recap:

Matt Moog, the Founder of Viewpoints and Built in Chicago welcomed the crowd and announced that Built in Chicago is relaunching the site at the end of this month. It will have some great new features including a full job board, Chicago startup guide, and business directory.

Steve Collens from 1871 shared some exciting news. First, 1871 will be officially opening on May 2nd. Second, Intelligentsia and 1871 have partnered together to fuel the great startups who will soon call 1871 home.

Julie Bashkin presented KLUTCHclub: a health, wellness and fitness subscription program that allows consumers to receive $50 worth of  products for $18 per month. Julie wrote a great post about their recent launch that can be read here. FYI- they're looking for great sales people and developers.

Jeffrey Cantry and Golli Hasemian presented Bromance: a mobile app that connects you to other "bros" nearby with the same likes/interests as you (bros can be both guys and girls). The app is free and there are solid number of people using it in the Chicago area. They also announced that GathR will be launching soon, an app that helps "bring people to life."

Hemant Kashyap and Mike Zivin presented MyServista: Their service lets you find out what your neighbor paid for everyday services like auto repair, gyms, and child care at 1000s of local businesses. It's similar to Yelp, but better. The audience voted and they won the best pitch of the night. You can read their launch post here.

Randy Shipley presented SocialGravity: The site connects local charities, businesses and organizations with the people that support them in a secure online platform. It's great for finding groups, causes, charities, and city networks. Membership to the site is free and it's easy to sign up. You can check out their launch post here.

This event would not have been possible without our awesome event sponsors Rockit and Silicon Valley Bank
