At SayHey! LLC, we feel that the digitization of everything has stolen an important part of society’s social fabric.  Frustrated with people always being on their phones, Craig Peters and I decided there must be a middle-ground for social interaction in public. The result of our brainstorm came to fruition in the form of a mobile app called Time to SayHey! (SayHey! for short).

SayHey! is a new way to introduce yourself in today’s always on, always digital world. Simply put, we aim to redefine the art of the introduction.

SayHey! is simple and to the point. Check in to your current location- whether at a bar, conference center, or gym - and proceed to select your in-app Icebreaker for the day. You will be able to see who else checked in to your location and browse their SayHey! profile.  Upon finding somebody you want to talk to (it could be an old friend, somebody you have an eye for, or a colleague whose contact information you don’t have), you have the ability to send him or her a 140 max character message.

The middle-ground we established is you can only send four messages apiece in any single conversation. Why four messages? Craig and I feel this is allows one to introduce themselves and express the purpose of their conversation. Four just seemed right and we trust our instincts.

When you have reached the limit it is Time to SayHey!. Our intention is that you can meet digitally but are then forced to have human interaction with each other in-person.

Without shame, we believe SayHey! will be an everyday tool people use no matter what social situation they are in.  It’s not just meant to be used at bars—even though that is predictably a primary use for SayHey!. This app possesses unlimited social potential as well as an immediate revenue stream.

We are excited to bring SayHey! to the community  and look forward to working towards making it the success we believe it will be.
