BOOST (Building Opportunities for Original and Sustainable Thinking) is a community-driven platform for funding emerging innovations in Chicago's green economy.
BOOST awards modest, unrestricted funding to help launch green enterprises
We are recruiting applicants who have an emerging venture that could take advantage of community raised funding and a network of engaged supporters. Last year we were able to give out over $3000 to two exciting enterprises.
Here's how it works: Local Innovators complete an application describing their initiative and its impact on the green economy. Applications are evaluated by the Delta Emerging Leaders, and the most promising Innovators get to present at the BOOST Funding Night. Event attendees, or Boosters, vote for their favorite proposals, and Innovators receiving the most votes are awarded a share of the night’s proceeds plus a package of in-kind resources tailored to their project.
