What is the pain point?

Entrepreneurs want a faster, more effective way to hire smart people that have the right personality and drive to work at a start-up. Students want a better way to find start-up opportunities outside of their personal networks, as their interest in start-up careers is growing rapidly.

What is the solution?

HireBrite is a resource for top undergraduate and graduate students seeking internships and full-time jobs at promising startups in major cities with growing entrepreneurial communities. Our mission is to help talented students find rewarding, non-traditional opportunities at really cool, high-potential startups while helping entrepreneurs more effectively source the best talent for their businesses.

Why is it better?

HireBrite is a closed-loop solution for students from high caliber schools that have been selected to participate in the program and for startups that meet minimum criteria. HireBrite conducts on-campus programming to generate awareness of what it's really like to work for a startup and to introduce students to the HireBrite web platform. Students then create a profile on this platform by answering questions specifically designed to help startups assess students’ true interests and fit. Startups also create profiles that highlight attributes that students care about most, such as culture, benefits, and the management team’s working style.HireBrite isn’t just a job board — it’s a much more intuitive way for students and startups to find each other. HireBrite is launching November 2, 2011; check it out at hirebrite.com.
