Sutast: s= ut + 1/2at^2

Sutast is a simple device that includes an accelerometer, a small microcontroller and a display that would have made Newton happy. At Sutast we produce a device that targets two business models. But fundamentally, we measure distances.

If you have looked funny walking around with a measuring tape at Ikea / Home Depot, or snapped your finger while releasing a spring attached coil tape or if you are just a nerd who loves collecting an army of gadgets, Sutast is for you. A Sutast is a gadget the size of a quarter that when swiped along a linear surface registers real-time acceleration data to compute the distance travelled. Carry this device in your purse or pocket to record quick measurements or simply deploy them in volumes in furniture/hardware stores to help your customers measure surfaces, heights, corners to make purchase decisions.

We mass produce Sutasts using cheap accelerometers and ICs that make them affordable for a business of any size so as to give them that extra edge of sophistication to woo prospective customers. Simply request your customers to replace the gadget on their way back and gift them with a candy in a similar package.

We use the same concept to develop an Android/iPhone app to use your smart phone to make quick measurements. Take a picture of the object and register its measurements by tagging them to the picture.

Thus, we provide end-customer solutions through a stand-alone simple device or a smart phone app and also a B2B solution by selling cheap Sutasts in bulk to retail businesses for that extra customer oomph.
