For the second consecutive year, kCura was named one of the country's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) – not bad for a 250 person company that’s been bootstrapping since its founding in 2001. The tech company makes Relativity, a software used to produce and analyze electronic evidence during investigations and legal proceedings. Prior to being named to the national roster, NABR hailed kCura on the Chicago Best and Brightest list in July.

We’re honored,” says kCura founder, President and CEO Andrew Sieja. “It’s a great list of companies to be recognized alongside, and our team has put a lot of effort into making kCura a place where people can grow their talents and build their careers.”

Sieja attributes kCura’s selection for this honor to his team’s commitment to making kCura a great place to work. Winners were judged on a variety of criteria, including compensation and benefits, engagement and retention, employee education and development, recruitment and selection, employee achievement and recognition, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and strategic company performance. Sieja cites kCura’s users’ loyalty as another reason his company’s culture harbors challenging and driven employees.
While working at kCura is pleasant due to the team members, whom Sieja describes as “friendly and talented,” getting in the door is no cake walk.

Our hiring process is tough, but we think it’s important to make sure we’re hiring the right people,” Sieja says. “We work in a rapidly changing industry and we’re always looking for ways to get better, so we want to find people that fit our culture.”

Having made this list twice already, I asked Sieja whether he would try for a three-peat. His response? “We don’t do what we do to try and win these things.  If we continue to do what’s right for our customers and our team, maybe we’ll be honored with this distinction again.”
