Hello, I’m Katy. Today, I am delighted to announce that I am joining Techweek as the new CEO.
I’m absolutely thrilled about this position. Nothing excites me more than bringing together great people, sharing new ideas, and exploring (disruptive) technology. Techweek combines all these things and is an amazing platform with a sound mission. We are “building a better world through tech entrepreneurship”.
The team here is awesome (seriously, you’re kicking ass!). I’m privileged to be able to work with all of you and we’re going to accomplish great things together. Thank you for the incredible work you do and the passion you have.
I’ve been involved with startups and technology for several years in several positions, including building and selling my own business. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to connect with all facets of the tech community. Technologists and entrepreneurs are our future, and there is a little bit of both in all of us. I’m going to do everything I can to bring people together and then bring that out of them!
We have aggressive expansion plans both domestically and internationally, and some huge ideas for the events – including a new investment fund, named the 100 Cities Fund, which will financially back the winners of the Techweek Launch Championship. The future is exciting and I can’t wait to share more details over the coming weeks.
