United Airlines showcases support for innovation & Chicago startups

This week United Airlines invited more than 1,000 of its employees to explore emerging technologies from current and new vendors at its Innovation 2013 Tech Partners Showcase. The event, held on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower, encouraged United employees working in IT and a host of other departments to check out products and services that could "help support United’s brand as the leader in aviation technology."

Among the presenting vendors were many of the big names you'd expect to see at an event sponsored by the world's largest airline — Google, IBM, Salesforce, Oracle. But right alongside these heavy hitters were SplunkKiipBatteriiG2 Crowd and 10 member companies from 1871 including Better WeekdaysCharlie, and SimpleRelevance
