On May 15, West Loop Ventures is hosting an event in cooperation with FinTex, FinTank, and the University of Illinois Academy of Entrepreneurship.
Joe Rickard, the CTO of Incapital, and Stelios Valavanis the CEO of OnShore Security will do a short presentation on how to protect yourself and your company from being attacked.
Incapital is a broker/dealer. Their CEO is a very high profile CEO and hackers attempt to get into their system every day. OnShore does high-level security for banks. Joe and Stel can talk about all kinds of ways the hackers attack, and how you can stop them.
The Russians hacked the US election and it looks like the meddled in the French election. Recently there was a phishing hack on Gmail. Hacking into all kinds of systems is becoming a daily occurrence.
Joe and Stel will present for 16 minutes and then there will be plenty of time for an active Q+A so audience members can learn, understand and walk away feeling more secure about how to address security.
