The recently launched Zealous Good iPhone app has been featured in Mashable as a top 5 charity app for holiday giving. Zealous Good, a web-based Chicago startup that connects people with excess items to local nonprofits in need, has received close to $450,000 in donated goods and has worked with 192 nonprofits in the Chicagoland area since launching in 2011.

Released on 12/12/12, the IOS app works similarly to the web platform, though the process has been streamlined. Users can snap a photo of the item they'd like to donate, add a few details to describe it, and then decide if they need the item to be picked up or if they can drop it off at the chosen nonprofit.
