We've worked our way through a few cheesecakes and couldnt be happier with our latest partnership with Eli's Cheesecake. We had been doing our best to reach out to brands to help partner on educational or childrens initiatives in order to offset the cost of our Mrs. Judd's Games app development.

It was around two years ago to the day, when I first met Rick Desai. After an introduction to Rick’s firm Dashfire from Sandbox Industries, Rick and I quickly coordinated a sit down at a coffee shop up in Lincoln Park.

The Aftermath of Startup Weekend

You may have heard all the buzz about the Startup Weekend event that just passed. If you happened to miss the event or have ever wanted to participate, coach, or just see what all the hype is about I strongly encourage every entrepreneur to try this event at least once. Being placed in a 54 hour pressure cooker to build a tangible product or business by the end of a weekend, something that takes most startups months to accomplish, is an experience unlike any other.

I think its amazing that you quit your job to pursue WeDeliver full time! I recently just participated in startup weekend for the first time after pitching my idea for subscription based in home STD test kit delivery, and we won! I was interested in hearing some of your learning as I definitely had mine: http://bit.ly/14JBPqF. This is an event worth your time and energy!

Congrats Alyssa and great idea! Will you be continuing on with your business?

Your breakdown is fantastic, we had some similar take-aways. Here was my breakdown from our win last year: http://bit.ly/YV5UTn
