Three Quality Words You Should Strive to Utilize

If that headline grabs your attention, you really need to read the rest of this article.

Why? Because when you’re writing about your new idea, you want people to read it. And the above sentence contains three words which are so dull, so meaningless and so obvious they practically defy readers to keep reading.

The words (if you haven’t guessed): Quality, Strive and Utilize. I’ll disembowel them one at a time, in reverse order.

CHICAGO, IL— I met Brandon Mendelson at 1871, last month, on the day that I was shooting a story about the large percentage of women founders (28%) entrenched there. He was friendly, knowledgeable, but what struck me was his very powerful, and deep voice.

Brandon was sitting with the team from Kumbuya, who I was shooting for extra footage for my story, and Brandon mentioned his book, as I began chatting with the group.

"I don't know if you cover authors, but I wrote a book on social media," he told me. "It's called Social Media is Bullshit."
