It is that infamous image of the tech company culture – the bean bag chairs, the massages, and of course, the foosball table.  Google and Facebook swear by the “work hard, play hard” method.

I wrote recently in a post for NBC Chicago that coworking spaces were on the rise due to the increase in freelancers and remote workers. While I still believe this is true, I'd like to explore that idea and put it into context with an oft-mentioned notion that our new economy will be built upon a specialized workforce.

agree. one of the reasons that I invested in Desktimeapp.com, and think the Chicago community should use them to manage their spaces. I also helped Nextspace.us to establish itself in Chicago. Co-working is the future. Done correctly, it's not about the real estate.

Most people dont know that Mrs. Judd's Games started when my daughter's kindergarten teacher ran into my wife at a school carnival. We were looking at how to brand ourselves in the kids marketplace and the perfect brand just retired from teaching! We loved the idea of taking the thoughtfulness and expertise of the teachers voice to technology in our own games and games for our clients trying to reach families. It goes to show that you always should keep your eyes and ears open as that perfect pivot might be right in front of you, even at a parent teacher conferece!

Wow, congrats on the great Kickstarter kickoff! Great to see another successful launch from a strong Chicago startup.
The graphics and gameplay are really smooth, very impressive that a 3 person team is responsible for such a well-crafted, and scalable game (with Ruby!). Looking forward to trying the iOS version

We're so excited to be moving KBooM! and Mrs. Judd's Games over to 1871 next week. My team is antsy to have more folks to ask for help, bounce ideas off of, and even more excited to overload on Intelligensia coffee. We couldn't be more thrilled to be given this chance to work in such a inspiring office space with so much support from the Chicago tech community.

We have a new game out, everyone!

The team at Mrs. Judd’s Games is proud to announce the arrival of our new app, Chalk Walk, the first app designed to help children develop the thumb & finger pincer grip, which is needed for pencil and paper tasks at school.
