Jeff Judge

Congrats - that's huge!

Dave Hoover

Thanks Jeff. It is indeed huge, we have a lot of work ahead of us!

Corey Haines

Congrats, Dave. It will be exciting to see what you guys can do here with a great lineup of experienced developers/designers as instructors.
Also.... did you purposely buy a chair that looks like the back of Bart Simpson's head? Some sort of hidden meaning?

Dave Hoover

It's a Rorschach chair. There's no wrong answer.

Challenge Thyself

I recently came across an article from someone I respect about why he doesn't like using the phone and prefers another method of communication which is email or social media. The comment section was blown up, and if you have the extra time you should read through them, but the main point that troubles me remains: When do you get to a point where you stop challenging yourself to be better?

EVENT-Want to Learn Valuable Web/UX or Mobile Development Skills?

Date: December 5
Time: 6pm
Location: Groupon, 600 W. Chicago Ave

Of course you do! A lot of us want to learn the latest technologies to steer our careers toward digital, or to add new skills to our web design or web development portfolio. Wouldn’t be great if we could build our own iPhone app, web application, and design all of them with world-class usability?

So, we launched an app at Techweek this year in conjunction with our event at @1871chicago.

The app is a social learning network built on learning technology - The Tin Can API (the next evolution in the SCORM standard), an enterprise friendly measurement platform for measurement of learning in an organization.

A little about the app (now only out for iOS, but coming to Android and Web this month):
