How do I best introduce myself as an available Technical Co-Founder?
I'm interested in co-founding with someone who has ideas I could really get passionate about. I'd like to put myself out there as an available Technical Co-Founder in this community. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Advice from others who have done the same?
UPDATE: Thanks to all who answered. Many good ideas throughout. Shortly after posting the question, I was contacted by a really fun and interesting startup looking for a CTO and I've joined forces with them.
A couple things you could do...
1. You could write a blog post on BIC about yourself explaining that your looking for a co-founder. You should get quite a few responses.
2. There are quite a few events for co-founder "dating/speed-dating", just watch the events section. I'd also recommend attending a BIC Launch event, there's always a lot of people looking to meet co-founders.
Search Meetup.com for founder and startup events.
Then, join a few groups and attend their meetings. You will then have opportunities to introduce yourself and network.
Go to events and be interesting. No easy way of doing this. You really have to get out there.
Well it so happens I am looking for tech help and a co-founder :-) Maybe we can connect.
the one place I went to look is techcofounder.com
Go to a Lean Startup meeting with a big sign that says "Looking for a CTO?"
Create a great profile online, whether you prefer linkedn, twitter, a blog and reference that always in your communication , even if it is just passively or on your website/profile. i would also recommend that you create a profile on https://angel.co/ (AngeList)
