In 583 days, the Obama campaign designed, deployed, and dismantled over 200 applications that operated at global scale. How did the technology team pull off deploying a new application on average every three days within the boundaries of the well insulated political arena? How did the team decide which apps to move forward with, and which to keep, especially in such a short time frame? What lessons should the rest of us understand to find similar success in our own ventures?

As Director of DevOps for the Obama campaign, Scott was the primary architect of the platform behind the Obama technology team (http://awsofa.info). Scott is working with local Chicago startup MarkITx (https://www.markitx.com) and also leads the consulting firm EL EL SEE LLC (http://elelsee.com) with other Obama campaign alumni. EL EL SEE is currently working with organizations from startups to publicly traded Fortune 100 companies, as well as developing a growing line of their own products.
