Job Summary:

We at RedShelf were students not too long ago and started the company based on the idea that textbooks shouldn’t cost a fortune or weigh a ton. They should be affordable and easily accessible for everyone to use. Our top priority at RedShelf is to help transition the learning community from print to digital course materials and be advocates for students everywhere.

Over the past five years, RedShelf experienced 400% YOY growth, and we’re looking to add an ambitious and passionate Account Manager who will continue supporting our rapid market expansion. The Account Manager will focus on optimizing our partnerships within the higher education industry by ensuring client satisfaction, retention and continued growth.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the territory Sales Directors to manage and grow the account through a relationship based sales approach
  • Implement seamless technical integrations with key market players for the benefit of our direct partners and end users; i.e. campus learning management systems and bookstore point-of-sale systems
  • Use project management skills and communication vehicles to coordinate internal teams and meet client needs effectively while providing regular status reports on assigned accounts’ progress
  • Act as liaison for internal and external communications with assigned accounts, provide visibility of client lifecycle, and deliver exceptional customer service to assist with account retention
  • Facilitate enhancements to communications, tools, capabilities and product lines
  • Create client value externally by providing support, information, and guidance on RedShelf's digital distribution of college course materials and internally by participating in cross functional groups, product direction and creative marketing solutions
  • Exceed monthly/quarterly growth goals while remaining organized and productive in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Identify current industry trends, market activities, and competitors to help navigate the industry and client relationships effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 3-5 years of Account Management experience with a strong track record of success
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience working within a team environment while possessing the ability to be proactive verse reactive and delivering desired results
  • Ability to successfully navigate complex organizations and manage accounts with a strong focus on customer success
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software

Other desirable skills / experience:

  • Knowledge and appreciation of the advances in higher educational software, course materials, and digital publishing
  • Background and/or experience in educational technology and/or publishing
  • Comfort and/or experience in a start-up environment
  • Experience with CRM software, working knowledge of Base CRM is preferred
