Job description:

We’re looking for a smart and hard-working Account Manager to join our growing sales team. We’re expanding our product into new industries, and we want to quickly grow our revenue and footprint with you at the helm. You can help shape your role to best make an impact, but specific responsibilities include:

  • Outbound phone and email-based prospecting to qualify leads and grow our pipeline.
  • Set meetings with C-suite executives, key stakeholders, IT management, and LOB executives.
  • Develop and test new outbound strategies, messaging, and pitches to drive new business.
  • Initially, work closely with our Director of Sales to grow the sales pipeline and transition new relationships; eventually you’ll be responsible for holding product demos and bringing opportunities across the finish line.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and events to promote Yapmo, develop key relationships, and essentially act as an outside sales rep for a few days.
  • Record and document all calls and communication to analyze performance and improve metrics quarter over quarter; report on weekly results.
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a quarterly basis.

You are:

  • Tenacious & Resourceful: You’ll have to do a lot of research and creative strategizing to get in front of the right contacts, and you must be crafty.
  • Competitive & Hard-Working: You have a “never take no” attitude, and you feel passionately about being the best at what you do.
  • Confident & Quick Learner: You must feel comfortable making cold calls, turning a first call into a second call, and landing the meeting with a C-Suite exec, all while talking the talk about enterprise software.
  • Independent & Proactive: We’re an extremely collaborative office, but working for a startup means you’ll need to be comfortable with a high level of autonomy.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 2-4 years of sales experience. It'd be nice if your sales experience involved enterprise SaaS software, but it's not required. We'd rather you have a passion for sales, be excited by startups, and be willing to take on just about anything.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university.
  • Able to manage complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate and tech savvy with a basic understanding of collaboration software, cloud-based software, and enterprise sales.
  • Franchise or real estate experience/knowledge is a plus.
  • SaaS software experience is a plus.
