About You

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to provide support to the Director of Finance in the accounting function.  This individual will want to make an impact by being solutions-oriented and resourceful. They will continuously learn by being exposed to multiple aspects of the business.

Job Summary   

  • Manage the expense report process for the company, provide guidance and training to the team
  • Supervise and track gifts, office supplies, and expenses
  • Ensure there is proper review of the accounts and escalate any differences or issues to the Director of Finance
  • Own all tasks related to AR (billing, credit, collections, and receipts) and AP (payable entries, schedules, payments)
  • Perform all general ledger transactions and accounts reconciliation
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual closing procedures
  • Process payroll and related G/L entries
  • Assist with benefits administration and human resources
  • Assist with preparation of operational reporting
  • Help with other ad hoc requests as assigned by Director of Finance or CEO
  • Manage office vendors as needed
Requirements
  • Degree in Financial Accounting
  • 1 to 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment or public accounting
  • Familiarity with accounting software systems
  • Strong skills in Google Suite and Excel
  • Ability to create and present financial reporting
  • Capable of handling multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with outside vendors/management of external relationships
  • Proven ability to be solutions-oriented and resourceful
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt with an ever-changing and growing start up
