NowSecure Inc., based in Oak Park, Illinois, was formed in 2009 with a mission to advance mobile security worldwide. We help secure mobile devices, enterprises and mobile apps. NowSecure’s cloud-based mobile security platform provides real-time visibility and remediation of security flaws on mobile devices for both individuals and enterprise.

NowSecure is growing fast and we’re seeking an accounting intern to help us advance our efforts in several areas.  The ideal candidate is energetic, analytical, efficient, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and quickly learn the fundamentals of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Data entry
• Fee reconciliation (with oversight)
• Assist Finance and Management team with monthly invoice process
• Ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation
• Distribute aged receivables reports to management
• Process purchase orders upon request
• Run financial queries upon staff request
• Provide time and expense details to project managers as incurred on projects and ensure proper coding of expenses
• Review missing time reports weekly and follow up with delinquencies
• Support the department by maintaining files, contracts and other relevant documentation
• Ad hoc requests

Requirements:

• Acquiring/acquired Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2+ years of Finance or Accounting classes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in both Windows and Mac environments
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Excellent spoken and verbal communicative skills
• Writing and editing skills
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• Ability to have some flexibility with work schedule, as required.
