The Accounting Manager will be responsible for owning ActiveCampaign's accounting close process and produce timely, accurate financial reports. While our business is really simple, we do have to pay bills :( so the Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounts payable and cash disbursement (ex. payroll!). This individual will also be the main touch point for our auditors (fun!).
What your day could consist of
- Make sure bills are entered into Intacct correctly and payments are made to vendors on time
- Close the books. We run Intacct and a simple business, so a 5-10 business day close is the norm
- Maintain our accounting data like a pro-librarian to make everyone's lives easier
- Be the first person to generate reports and dive into the numbers
- 2+ years experience working with Intacct. We've already implemented it, but knowing the ins/outs beyond entering data and generating reports is critical as well
- 5+ years of general accounting experience (general ledger, in accordance with GAAP)
- Experience running or managing accounts payable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
- CPA nice, but not required
