In your role as Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day accounting operations in our fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of process improvement and flexibility to dive in and get things done. This role will report to the Controller.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage all major portions of the accounting functions including Cash Management, A/P, A/R, G/L, billing, journal entries, check runs, reconciliations, month end close, cash management, and preparation of financial statements
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close
  • Oversee the coordination of the annual external audit
  • Work with outside financial and accounting professional services for preparation of tax returns and sales and use tax filings
  • Follow up on notices from tax jurisdictions as necessary and coordinate resolution of any issues
  • Sales and Revenue Operations - Analyze contracts with customers, confirm sales bookings, and monitor and record revenue according to GAAP. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting revenue. Responsible for billing and related sales tax reporting
  • Manage monthly commission calculation and payment process
  • Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements

Requirements & Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of experience managing G/L
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently
  • Advanced Excel Skills - pivot tables, charts, vlookups
  • Experience with Intacct, Avalara, Salesforce, Expensify
  • Experience with Sales and use tax
  • Previous technology start-up experience, preferred
  • SaaS experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, preferred
