• Strong Computer Science background, preferably with a degree
• Solid Object-Oriented background
• Comfortable and fluent in either Java, Kotlin, C++ or a similar language
• Willing to spend time getting to know Android animations or have good experience with them, as well as a keen eye of how to use them to make the application feel alive
• Highly collaborative in the planning and grooming stages
• Have networking experience, preferably using JSON as well as a traditional Android networking library such as Volley, Retrofit or Ion
• Shipping clean, testable code that any developer on any team could quickly get up to speed

• Interact with the product team on a daily basis to determine priorities as well as set expectations
• Monitor live issues through Fabric and other tools and address bugs as they are found and reported through various channels
• Take on projects for new sections of the application that we are looking to expand or include
• Discuss architecture and come to an agreement with the Android team before implementation
• Do code reviews so that everyone on the team can see the work being done and as well participate in extra steps to catch any potential mistakes
• Occasionally do small R&D projects to determine if something new and exciting is something we want to incorporate
