bswift, an Aetna portfolio company, is a Chicago-based technology company that provides industry-leading benefits administration for employers and exchanges nationwide. We are currently looking for an API Associate Product Manager to join our team in our Chicago, IL location.

Position Summary: The API Associate Product Manager will be paired with a Product Manager on the data exchange team and will be mentored in the product areas owned by the Product Manager. Will support the Product Manager in a variety of tasks related to product design, quality testing, troubleshooting, training and communications. Will gain expertise in one or more product areas and build a foundation of product management knowledge.

Fundamental Components:

· Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Perform quality testing of the product prior to new product releases.

· Troubleshoot product issues escalated from the Ongoing Products Team.

· Serve as a Subject Matter Expert within bswift for the assigned product areas.

· Liaise with other business groups including Client Services, Sales, Marketing and Software Development to define product requirements.

· Assist with the creation of product functional specifications that clearly communicate detailed functionality and architecture.

· Assist with the creation of wireframes that clearly convey product features and functionality to a web designer and contribute

to the web/graphics design effort.

· Communicate product requirements to developers and assist with the management of the development process.

· Work closely with the Documentation team to define product functionality for bswift release documents and help documentation.

Background/Experience:

· 2+ years experience in software product management.

· Experience with data exchange and APIs; familiarity with bswift platform a plus.

· Experience with RESTful API’s with C software.

· IBM APIC software a plus.

· Critical, analytical thinker with proven ability to solve problems creatively and identify solutions to complex requests; excellent teamwork skills.

· Ability to work within tight deadlines and handling multiple priorities.
 

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
