We are currently looking for an API Product Manager to join our team in our Chicago, IL location. The API Product Manager will "own" bswift's public facing APIs. This includes supporting the framework as well as establishing the product roadmap for services and APIs.
Position Summary:
Responsible for a strategic vision and its subsequent implementation. The process starts with the creation of a product roadmap. For each enhancement on the product roadmap a development specification document is created and the project is assigned to a developer. The API Product Manager will act as the project manager to ensure the enhancements are completed on-time working with developers, QA, and documentation specialists. Leadership qualities are necessary as the PM will be directing the work activities of associate product managers, developers, and QA analysts. The API Product Manager serves as an ambassador for their product area to executive leadership, sales, clients, implementation, and client services.
Background/Experience:
· 6+ years of related industry experience.
· Knowledgeable with RESTful API and back-end service design.
· IBM APIC experience preferred, but not required.
· OAUTH 2.0 experience preferred, but not required.
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
