Job Description:
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Senior Accountant Job Duties:
- Own all accounting processes of a fast growing business including invoicing, A/R, A/P, expense management, and payroll.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Assists in development of internal controls and streamlining of processes.
- Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- CPA required.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years public accounting experience.
- Full financial close cycle experience required.
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge of US GAAP and Revenue Recognition.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills; interested in identifying and fixing problems.
- Excellent teamwork, including the ability to interact with all organization levels.
