What You’ll Be Doing

Groupon’s differentiated strength is an agile sales organization that has personal relationships with millions of local merchants around the world.  Our technologies leverage massive data to provide insights about each and every merchant.  These insights transform our agents into local commerce experts who help merchants craft win-win solutions from our growing selection of local commerce offerings. At Groupon, a Product Manager is effectively the CEO of their area, working with designers, developers and senior management to invent new features and experiences.  

Groupon is looking for motivated, entrepreneurial, independent-minded and creative technical students who are interested in launching their careers in Product Management. Based on your interests and skills and our business needs, you will be aligned with one of several product teams at Groupon. You will work on projects with major significance to Groupon, which will have an immediate impact. As part of our technology team, you’ll use a variety of technologies and development practices to build pioneering local commerce products used by hundreds of millions of people.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an BS, MS or PhD program in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

• Deeply technical and pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and/or Master of Science in Computer Science/Information Systems

• Self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with business partners and internal Groupon teams, including senior management

• Excellent understanding of ecommerce technologies, product development and how web and mobile technologies work

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
