Associate Test Engineer

SUMMARY AND SCOPE
The Associate Test Engineer role will become a cornerstone of Rise’s growing mobile and web development team. In this role, you will be working directly with developers and clients on projects ranging from exciting new startups to high impact enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:Conduct manual functional testing of new projects for desktop and mobile
- Conduct full regression testing on new or existing projects for desktop and mobile
- Report issues found during testing life cycle to development via JIRA
- Regularly summarize testing status and areas of risk to tream
- Help set and maintain quality standards
- Assist with creation and updating of test scripts
- Asisst with standardizing QA proesses
- Contribute to a growing team in an agile environment
- 1 year of software testing or relevant experience
- Knowledge of test methodologies, creating test scripts and debugging
- Understanding of Agile System Development Life Cycle
- Passion for Testing and Software Development
- Experience with Quality Assurance in a technical environment
- Excellent knowledge of mobile and web environments, and UX considerations therein
- Experience with Github, Xcode, and Android studio
- Strict about best-practices
- Great communication skills
- Ability to speak clearly at a non-technical level
- Ability to take your own initiative
- A desire to learn new things and teach others
- Preferably has knowledge of JIRA or equivalent project management system
- Some experience with Photoshop or other Creative Suite Programs
- Preferably with design or copy writing background
- Work well within a team
