About This Position:
Enova’s Benefits Manager oversees its Health and Welfare and Retirement benefits functions. This individual leads all strategy, design, implementation, communication and administration efforts. The scope includes health, welfare, disability, 401(k) qualified and nonqualified plans, SERP, Medical Expense Reimbursement Plans, leaves of absences and executive programs. This individual will manage, mentor and coach a small team and work closely with the People & Talent teams and senior leadership to benchmark, redesign, customize and implement programs. To be successful, this individual is expected to hit the ground running, learn our technologies, manage vendor relationships, understand our people, processes and culture and contribute to the continued growth and success of our team. This is where YOU come in. You will be:
- Ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
- Overseeing Health & Welfare annual open enrollment and managing retirement plans year-end processes
- Developing communication tools to enhance understanding and awareness of the company's benefits, including intranet pages and creative email and alternative communication campaigns
- Analyzing current benefits, evaluating the usage, service, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends
- Evaluating and suggesting improvements to internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Participating in plan renewals and implementation of new benefit programs
- Preparing and executing, with legal consultation, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies
- Managing LOA/FMLA, STD/LTD and ADA accommodation processes including reviewing and approving company specific leaves of absence in collaboration with People Resources, vendors and legal counsel
- Overseeing payroll audits to ensure deductions match enrollments for Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits
- Reviewing, reconciling and processing vendor payments and oversee billing audit process
- Advising Associates how to enroll in benefits and how to change changes benefits
- Overseeing plan audits as needed
You’re right for this job if you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business and/or equivalent and relevant experience.
- Have at least 10 years professional company benefits management experience creating, developing and managing employee benefits programs.
- Have solid knowledge of outsourced, HR, benefits and payroll systems and processes.
- Have sound knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations affecting welfare, disability and retirement and workers compensation programs, including COBRA, FMLA and 409A.
- Possess strong analytical, technical, communication, customer service and business skills working in a multi-site organization.
- Have the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously in a team-based environment regularly adjusting priorities.
- Have clear, precise and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Have a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment and discretion.
- Possess the ability to easily establish rapport with all levels of organization and cultivate relationships.
- Have a mindset to always improve processes and programs.
- Have the ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential communications and materials
- Are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel
